Borwick Parish Meeting – 7th October 2025

The next Borwick Parish Meeting will take place on 7th October 2025 at 19:30. It will be held at Borwick Hall.

We have invited, and he’s accepted, Graham Dalton to the meeting and I think it will interest him to see what we have for communication within the Parish. Still no further news on speeds through the village but I might ask Graham Dalton which he considers more important – the administration difficulty of changing speed limits or the safety of Borwick villagers!

We are in the process of adopting the Telephone Kiosk on the green as BT have withdrawn the phone and merely going to lock the kiosk and leave it. Interestingly it’s a Grade 2 listed building but we now have permission from LCC to refurbish it provided the colour scheme remains the same as it was.

There is a new online Lancaster District Digital Directory of Health & Wellbeing Services. Jenny Reddell, (Community Health Worker/Lancaster CVS Hub Link Worker) writes:

Booking for Memorial Hall – Calendar App is Down

The Calendar app that holds the bookings for the village hall is currently inaccessible. The app we’ve been using is currently incompatible with the latest version of the web page software. Chris Heginbotham holds the diary for Memorial Hall bookings and can still be contacted on  07890 532322 or by email at christineheginbotham@gmail.com about any enquiries you may have.
